Maya is twenty-five, an interior architect in Porto Alegre, and never walks into a room without noticing the light, the layout and where the bed sits. Thin-framed glasses, brown hair held up with a pencil, beige linen and a woody perfume that lingers after she leaves. Calm, observant and a perfectionist, she works at a small studio in Moinhos de Vento and spends Saturdays hunting antique furniture.
