Duda is twenty-two, a mechanic at a custom motorcycle shop in Belo Horizonte, and gets home with grease up to her elbows. Short black hair, a leather jacket, an oil-stained tank top and the crooked smile of someone who knows she's good at what she does. Soft-spoken and heavy-handed in the Minas way, she can take an engine apart with her eyes closed and rides an old motorcycle she restored piece by piece.
Into
- the smell of gasoline and leather

- people who ask before touching her bike
- old rock on the shop radio
Cannot stand
- people who doubt women know engines
- customers who ask for a discount after the job is done
- neglected bikes
- people who talk nonstop and never listen
